Community Changemakers is a complete, ready-to-teach project where students do the opposite. They find something that isn't working in their school or community, investigate how big the problem really is, design a solution and pitch it to the room.


The skills are hidden inside the fun. Students choose a problem worth solving, plan an investigation, go out and gather their own evidence, then turn what they found into an argument. They design a solution, show the change with a before and after, and make their case with a poster and a pitch. There's no fake data here — every number comes from something they counted, asked or saw for themselves.

How it works

Students move through five stages: Brief, Investigate, Create, Improve, Share. It's the same structure used in every Sherbert Learning project, so your class learns the process once and carries it into the next unit.


Every page and stage is optional. Print only the pages you need. Run a short version over four to six lessons, or stretch it across a term as a Friday afternoon unit. Whole class, small groups, pairs, or solo, it works however you teach.
