Create a Treehouse is a complete, ready-to-teach project where students design a treehouse from the ground up: the tree it's built around, the rooms inside, how you get up there, what it's made of, and why every choice makes sense. Then they pitch it to someone who has to be convinced it's worth building.

The skills are hidden inside the fun. Students plan and sketch, measure and scale, work out what fits in the space they've got, write persuasively about their design, justify their decisions, and give and use feedback to make it better.

How it works

Students move through five stages: Brief, Investigate, Create, Improve, Share. It's the same structure used in every Sherbert Learning project, so your class learns the process once and carries it into the next unit.

Every page and stage is optional. Run a short version over four to six lessons, or stretch it across a term as a Friday afternoon unit. Whole class, small groups, pairs, or solo, it works however you teach.
