PROJECT BASED LEARNING - READY FOR YOUR CLASSROOM

Create a Video Game — Project-Based Learning Unit

$7.50Price
Excluding GST

Your students already love video games. Now they get to design one!

Create a Video Game is a complete, ready-to-teach project where students design an original video game from scratch: the character, the world, the levels and challenges, and a manual clear enough for someone else to play.

The skills are hidden inside the fun. Students plan, write descriptively and persuasively, justify their decisions, give and use feedback, and work with the math behind their game.

No screens needed. No logins. Just open the slides, print the pages, and teach.

What's inside

  • Presentation slides for every stage, one idea per slide

  • Project Journal: printable student activity pages for every stage, from first idea to finished game. Print only the pages you need.

  • Going Further extensions: [confirm current set]

  • A project rubric

  • A complete teacher guide with the full learning sequence

How it works

Students move through five stages: Brief, Investigate, Create, Improve, Share. It's the same structure used in every Sherbert Learning project, so your class learns the process once and carries it into the next unit.

Every page and stage is optional. Run a short version over 6+ lessons or stretch it into a full 5-week unit with the extensions. Whole class, small groups, pairs, or solo, it works however you teach.
